Watching a movie in Australia and getting a discount!

Watching a movie in Australia and getting a discount!

Watching a movie in Australia for a new migrant can be quite an experience for someone new to Australia!
Firstly, there's no assigned seating for most cimema, first come first served!! so better dun go in last minute!!!!

The other reason to note is that, the price is very expensive.. more expensive than watching a  movie in Singapore.... dont expect to pay $7 or $8 for a movie when you go dating with your new aussie boy or girl friend!!!

A quick look at the prices..

Adult: $18.50
Child: $13.50
Student: $15.50

If you are a student.. you can show your student card...(something like below) and get your $3 discount .. as long as it's a student card.. dosent matter from any sch, overseas School like NUS, NTU it's valid for buying movie ticket...

Another lobang we have here is some of our members have some lobang for cheap tickets.. we want to help you save $$$ .. we have some movie voucher like below for sale to our members at subsidised prices..

But we have to sort out some logistics issues now, like how u pay for it? How do you get it? Mail? what if lost in  mail?? If you have any good suggestions we would like to hear from you!! Meanwhile our club committee members will also brainstorm to get a good solution hopefully soon...

Once a solution is up, movie ticket will be up for sale!!! Do keep a look out!! Meanwhile If you need ticket urgently contact us via email and we see if we can help...

  1. 1) Check out Optus Movie Rewards for $10 tickets, any day of the week! https://www.yestickets.com.au/movierewards/ (provided you're an Optus customer)

    2) Sign up for Hoyts Rewards http://www.hoyts.com.au/MyHoyts/abouthoytsrewards.aspx and get a free ticket upon payment of $10 (renewable every year).

    3) And I can't remember if it's Events or Hoyts that have discounted rates for movies before 5pm weekdays. But sign up for their newsletters and you often get notified in advance :)
